What is Headshot Studio and how does it work?
Headshot Studio helps you take a real professional headshot on your own iPhone. It coaches your framing, lighting, and distance live and on-device as you shoot, then lets you swipe through your shots and keep your favorites. There's no studio booking and no photographer required.
Is the headshot AI-generated?
No — these are real photos of you, not AI-generated faces. Headshot Studio does not create synthetic or fabricated images of your face. The optional Studio Retouch feature only polishes two real photos you already took into a single refined result; it never invents a face or trains AI on your photos.
Which iPhones are supported?
Headshot Studio runs on iPhones with iOS 17 or later. The live coaching uses your device's camera and on-device processing, so a reasonably recent iPhone gives the smoothest experience. No extra hardware is needed.
Does it work offline?
Shooting and live coaching work fully offline — everything runs on your iPhone with no connection required. Only Studio Retouch needs a network connection, because it sends your two chosen photos to a secure service to create the polished result. Everything else stays on your device.
Where do my photos go?
Your photos stay on your device by default and your camera feed is never uploaded for coaching. The only time a photo leaves your iPhone is if you choose Studio Retouch, and then only the two you pick — they're used for that single result, deleted immediately, and never used to train AI. There are no accounts and no tracking.
How much does it cost?
Headshot Studio is free to shoot, coach, and review as many photos as you like. A single one-time Studio Pro unlock (US$12.99) lets you save and export your headshots, with one Studio Retouch included and no subscription. If you want more retouched results later, you can buy them as a small one-time pack.
Can I use it for LinkedIn?
Yes — Studio Pro exports your headshot in LinkedIn, portrait, and original formats, so it's ready for your profile. You can also replace the background with a clean studio backdrop before you export. A polished LinkedIn headshot is one of the main reasons people use the app.
